Only 9 days until Decorex – eeeek! We’ve had some fabulous press on the new collection in the last few weeks and were utterly thrilled to be included in IDFX Magazine’s Decorex Preview this month….thank you!
Jess Lavers of EHG Design commissioned us to do a bespoke version of our Typecast wallpaper for a (very young) client… We highlighted the J’s and the H’s (his initials), and re-coloured using Farrow & Ball’s chic Parma Grey on Slipper Satin. A winning combination we thought for, perhaps, the coolest kid on the block…

When I worked at Vogue, I did a monthly page looking at a catwalk trend that had found it’s way into the home, so we were thrilled to see our wallpapers have been featured in a similar ‘Catwalk to Couch’ story in South African House & Leisure’s June 2011 issue, thanks to our new South African distributor The Silk & Cotton Company. We felt inspired!
Our new designs for Spring are now available… all images below, but please visit our site for more details. As usual, the photography was done by the lovely Peter Dixon, with some awesome props from our favourite Nottinghill boutique – Graham & Green.
A very belated post to say thanks to everyone who helped make Decorex such an enjoyable and successful show for us. For those who didn’t make it to the exhibition, here’s a picture of our stand…

Big thanks go to Skinflint Design for lending us the uber cool industrial pendant lamps, and to Quirky Interiors for making us the beautiful zinc topped table.
We were also thrilled that the exibition organisers selected Barneby Gates’ Wild Meadow wallpaper to decorate the Raneleigh Restaurant -

As some of you may have read in our newsletter, Barneby Gates are now available in New Zealand, Australia, Finland, Sweden, America, Russia and many more – so please contact us for stockist details.
Strolling down Portobello Road the other evening, we were delighted to see our motto ‘Carpe Noctem’ emblazoned across a t-shirt in a shop window display…
The name of a wallpaper from our very first collection – Carpe Noctem is our take on a classic British heraldry design, featuring tongue in cheek metallic crests on a bold pinstripe base…

Our new fashion-inspired toile – Promenade – is now available to buy online … Designed to resemble a traditional French Toile de Jouy, a closer look reveals a playful take on the fashions of the last century …
And finally, Barneby Gates are taking part in Decorex 2010, the interiors exhibition at The Royal Hospital, London, for the first time this September.
